Off Cape Eleuthera offers advanced divers access to the deep blue waters at the island's southern tip where the Exuma Sound plunges to abyssal depths. The wall diving here is spectacular, with the reef dropping vertically into the darkness beyond recreational limits. Pelagic encounters are common — hammerhead sharks, oceanic whitetips, and large schools of horse-eye jacks patrol the drop-off. Strong currents require solid buoyancy skills, but the reward is some of the most dramatic big-animal diving in the Bahamas.
