Humber Bay Park West in Toronto, Ontario, offers beginner-friendly freshwater diving in the sheltered waters of Lake Ontario near the city's waterfront. The site reaches 15 meters depth along a rocky breakwater that creates diverse underwater habitat in an urban setting. The breakwater rocks host crayfish, freshwater mussels, and various species of sunfish and bass. Schools of alewife and round goby are common sightings. The park's easy shore access and generally calm conditions make it one of the Greater Toronto Area's most popular training dive sites. Summer and early fall provide the best visibility and warmest water temperatures.
