The Sweepstakes in Tobermory, Ontario, is one of Canada's most famous wreck dives, featuring a 19th-century schooner resting in just 7 meters of crystal-clear water in Big Tub Harbour. The remarkably preserved wooden hull is visible from the surface on calm days, with the ship's ribs and planking still clearly defined after over 130 years underwater. Despite the shallow depth, this is rated advanced due to the heritage protection requiring careful navigation to avoid damaging the fragile timbers. The wreck is part of Fathom Five National Marine Park, Canada's first underwater park, and the gin-clear Georgian Bay water makes for exceptional photography.
