Arctic Trader shipwreck in Nova Scotia is an advanced dive on a cargo vessel that ran aground and sank off the eastern shore. The wreck rests on a rocky bottom in cold Atlantic waters, with significant sections of the hull and superstructure still intact. The wreck provides essential hard substrate in an area of predominantly sandy bottom, making it a magnet for marine life. Large lobsters claim the best hiding spots, while schools of pollock and Atlantic cod swirl around the structure. Kelp and anemones drape the deck, and the wreck's orientation creates sheltered spots where wolffish and ocean pout reside. Proper cold-water gear and wreck diving experience are required.
