Lovering Lakes in Saskatchewan offers a unique prairie freshwater diving experience in one of the province's clearest natural lakes. The spring-fed lake provides remarkably clear water with visibility that can exceed 10 meters on calm days. The gently sloping bottom transitions from sandy shallows to a silty deeper zone where submerged vegetation creates habitat for pike, perch, and walleye. Fallen trees and aquatic plant beds provide interesting exploration areas. The short Canadian prairie diving season runs from June through September when water temperatures are most comfortable. An off-the-beaten-path destination for freshwater diving enthusiasts.
