Old Pian Island in Dalian, Liaoning Province is an advanced dive reaching 30 meters in China's northern Yellow Sea. The island's underwater terrain features dramatic rocky walls and boulder fields home to cold-water marine species unique to northern China. Kelp forests, sea urchins, abalones, and various crustaceans populate the reef, while larger species including sea cucumbers and octopus inhabit the deeper sections. The cold water temperatures and current exposure require proper preparation, making this one of Dalian's premier diving destinations for experienced divers.
