
Wanshan Island near Zhuhai in Guangdong Province is an intermediate dive reaching 25 meters in the South China Sea. Part of the Wanshan Archipelago, this island group offers some of the best diving in the Pearl River Delta region. The subtropical waters support healthy coral communities, colorful reef fish, and diverse invertebrate life. Visibility varies with seasonal conditions, but the best months offer clear water revealing vibrant reef ecosystems. The island's relatively remote location ensures less disturbed marine environments compared to mainland coastal sites.
