El Planchon

El Planchón is an advanced dive to 12 meters near Isla Fuerte off Colombia's Caribbean coast. Named for a flat rock platform on the reef, this site features interesting topography with ledges, overhangs, and channels cut through the rocky substrate. The reef's exposure to open Caribbean currents brings nutrient-rich waters supporting dense fish populations and healthy coral growth. Despite the moderate depth, current conditions warrant the advanced rating. The remote Isla Fuerte location ensures pristine reef conditions rarely found closer to the Colombian mainland.
