Snapper Shoal is an intermediate dive to 20 meters near Providencia Island in Colombia's Caribbean. This shallow reef mound rises from the sandy seabed and attracts enormous schools of snappers that give the site its name. The shoal's rocky structure supports healthy hard and soft corals, sea fans, and barrel sponges, while the dense fish aggregations draw barracuda and jacks as predators. Clear warm waters and moderate currents create comfortable diving conditions, making Snapper Shoal one of Providencia's most accessible and rewarding reef dives.
