Blanck Eck is a beginner-friendly dive site on the Baltic Sea coast in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. This shore dive offers an accessible introduction to cold-water sea diving in the sheltered waters of the Kiel Fjord area. The seabed features a mix of sand, gravel, and scattered boulders colonized by Baltic-specific species. Marine life includes flatfish, gobies, shore crabs, mussels, and seaweed forests. During autumn, cod may be spotted in the area. The brackish Baltic waters provide a unique ecosystem distinct from both fully marine and freshwater environments. Blanck Eck's easy shore access and typically gentle conditions make it a valuable local dive site for the Kiel diving community.
