Murner See - Turm is an advanced freshwater dive site in Bavaria, Germany, reaching a maximum depth of 40 meters. This flooded open-pit mine has become one of Bavaria's most popular dive sites, with the highlight being a submerged tower structure that rises from the deep bottom. The tower creates a dramatic underwater landmark and attracts a variety of freshwater fish including pike, perch, and zander. The surrounding terrain features steep drop-offs, submerged trees, and scattered mining artifacts. Water clarity is generally good, with visibility of 5 to 15 meters depending on conditions. The significant depth and cold bottom temperatures require dry suit diving and advanced certification. The tower exploration is a memorable experience for technical-minded freshwater divers.
