
Speicherbecken Geeste is a beginner-friendly freshwater dive site in Lower Saxony, northern Germany. This large reservoir, originally built for water storage near the Dortmund-Ems Canal, has become a popular inland diving destination. The gentle sandy bottom slopes gradually to moderate depths, providing a safe and predictable environment for training. Submerged structures and platforms have been installed at various levels to support diver education. Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
