Straussee is an advanced freshwater dive site located in Brandenburg, near Berlin, Germany. This glacial lake offers a unique inland diving experience with visibility that varies seasonally from moderate to good. The lake bottom features a mix of silt, sand, and submerged vegetation, with fallen trees and branches creating interesting underwater structures. Freshwater species include pike, perch, tench, and crayfish. During summer, the thermocline creates distinct temperature layers that add to the diving experience.
