Abu Helal is an advanced dive site north of Dahab on the Sinai Peninsula, featuring a steep wall that plunges into the deep blue. The wall is covered in vibrant soft corals, gorgonians, and black coral trees. Strong currents that sweep along the coast attract pelagic species including barracuda, tuna, and occasionally hammerhead sharks. The exposed location and depth make this a site for experienced divers only. The reward is some of the most pristine wall diving in the Dahab area with excellent marine biodiversity.
