Ben el Gebel is an intermediate dive site near Hurghada in Egypt's Red Sea, translating to 'between the mountains' - referring to the two coral pinnacles that define this site. Divers navigate between the formations, discovering overhangs carpeted in soft corals and swimthroughs inhabited by glassfish. Lionfish, scorpionfish, and giant moray eels are commonly found along the walls. The moderate depth and occasional currents keep things interesting for certified divers, while the rich reef ecosystem provides constant marine life encounters.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
