Erg Abu Nugar is a beginner-friendly dive site south of Hurghada in Egypt's Red Sea, featuring scattered coral pinnacles rising from a bright sandy bottom. The ergs are covered in healthy table corals, soft corals, and anemones with resident clownfish. Lionfish, scorpionfish, and blue-spotted stingrays are commonly found around the bases. The easy layout and calm conditions make it ideal for training dives, while the photogenic coral formations offer plenty of opportunities for underwater photography enthusiasts.
