Cataract Resort is an intermediate shore dive at the Cataract Resort in southern Marsa Alam, featuring a well-developed house reef with varied underwater topography. The reef starts with a shallow coral flat before dropping to a wall section reaching 18-22 meters. Healthy hard coral formations host cleaning stations attended by groupers and sweetlips, while the wall is decorated with soft corals and sea fans. The resort's location in the quieter southern stretch of Marsa Alam means less diver traffic and more pristine reef conditions, with regular turtle and dugong sightings in the area.
