Erg Marsa Alam is a beginner-friendly site featuring scattered coral formations rising from a sandy seabed in the Marsa Alam area. The ergs (coral pinnacles) host a diverse array of reef fish including butterflyfish, angelfish, and colorful anthias. Between the formations, divers often encounter blue-spotted stingrays, moray eels, and occasionally green turtles resting on the sand. The site's moderate depth and gentle currents make it accessible for newer divers while still offering interesting marine life.
