
Marsa Shagra is a renowned beginner-friendly bay south of Marsa Alam, hosting one of Egypt's most established eco-dive camps. The house reef is consistently rated among the best in the region, with an incredible variety of corals and marine life accessible from shore. Giant moray eels, crocodilefish, and napoleon wrasses are regular sightings. The reef drops off into deeper water where turtles glide and occasional reef sharks patrol. Marsa Shagra is a cornerstone of Red Sea diving culture.
