Ras Abu Soma is an advanced dive site at the southern tip of the Abu Soma peninsula near Safaga, exposed to open sea currents that bring exceptional marine life encounters. The dramatic reef point features strong drift diving along walls adorned with massive gorgonians and soft coral forests. Pelagic species including grey reef sharks, silvertip sharks, and large schools of barracuda are regularly encountered. Dolphins occasionally pass through, and during summer months, whale sharks have been reported. The exposed position requires careful timing and experienced dive planning.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
