Carraba is an intermediate dive site near Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt's Red Sea, featuring a reef promontory with interesting topography including overhangs, small caves, and coral-filled channels. Moderate currents bring nutrients that support lush soft coral growth on the walls. The site is known for encounters with large Napoleon wrasse, groupers, and barracuda. Eagle rays are occasional visitors. Carraba offers a more adventurous alternative to Sharm's shore dives, with boat access providing a satisfying mix of wall diving and reef exploration.
