Uhlu Quarry is a beginner-friendly flooded quarry dive site in Western Finland, offering exceptional underwater visibility in a controlled, sheltered environment. Like other Finnish quarry dives, the groundwater-fed pool provides crystal-clear conditions that can reach 15-20 metres visibility, far exceeding typical lake or coastal dives. The quarry's vertical walls and submerged ledges create interesting terrain, while sunken objects placed for training add navigational challenges. Water temperature is cool but consistent, with the sheltered quarry walls blocking wind and waves. Uhlu Quarry is an excellent venue for dive training, underwater photography, and simply enjoying the rare clarity of Finnish groundwater.
