ĂŽle du Planier is a small rocky island 7 kilometers off the coast of Marseille, surrounded by some of the most legendary dive sites in the Mediterranean. The island's underwater slopes descend to 50 meters and beyond, offering advanced divers spectacular wall dives with massive gorgonian fans, dense fish populations, and exceptional visibility. The area around Planier is famous for its concentration of historic wrecks including cargo ships, wartime vessels, and aircraft scattered on the seabed. As a major landmark for Marseille-based dive centers, Planier provides world-class diving combining dramatic underwater topography, rich marine biodiversity under the Calanques National Park influence, and fascinating maritime history.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
