
Capernwray Diving Centre is the UK's best-known inland dive facility, located in a spring-fed flooded quarry near Over Kellet in Lancashire. The site offers exceptional year-round visibility of 10-20 meters in water reaching significant depth. A wide variety of sunken attractions have been placed in the quarry including aircraft fuselages, boats, cars, a helicopter, underwater gnome garden, and training platforms at progressive depths. The spring water maintains a relatively stable temperature year-round. Capernwray caters to all levels from absolute beginners on try-dives to technical divers using the deeper sections. On-site facilities include equipment hire, air fills, heated changing rooms, and a café, making it a complete diving day out.
