
Eight Acre Lake is an inland dive site near Hull in East Yorkshire, a former gravel pit now serving as a freshwater diving venue for regional dive clubs. The beginner-friendly lake provides calm, sheltered conditions ideal for training dives and skill development. Various sunken objects and training platforms have been placed at different depths to create interest and practice opportunities. Freshwater fish including pike, perch, and roach inhabit the lake. Visibility varies seasonally but is generally sufficient for training purposes. Eight Acre Lake fills an important gap for divers in the Hull and East Yorkshire area, providing a local alternative to the longer journey to coastal dive sites or distant quarries.
