Stoney Cove (also known as The National Diving Centre) is one of the UK's most iconic inland dive sites, a flooded granite quarry in Leicestershire reaching 38 meters depth. The quarry features an extensive collection of sunken attractions including a Wessex helicopter, an aircraft fuselage, boats, cars, a bus, and the famous underwater café — a submerged viewing platform at 6 meters. The diverse depth range caters to all levels, from shallow training areas to deep technical zones. Stoney Cove has played a central role in British diving for decades, training countless divers and hosting numerous events. Its central England location makes it accessible to dive clubs nationwide. Visibility varies but can be good, especially after cold spells.
