Cape Saint Fokas Shipwreck is an intermediate wreck dive near the island of Lesbos in the North Aegean. The remains of a coastal vessel lie at moderate depth off the cape, making it accessible to divers without advanced certifications. The wreck structure has become a thriving artificial reef, with the hull covered in sponges, tunicates, and encrusting organisms. Schools of two-banded bream and damselfish swirl around the superstructure, while octopus and moray eels shelter in the holds. The surrounding Aegean waters provide good visibility, and the moderate depth allows comfortable bottom times for thorough exploration. A fascinating blend of maritime history and Mediterranean marine ecology.
