Panagopoula Achaia is a beginner-friendly dive site on the northern Peloponnese coast in the Gulf of Corinth, near the town of Panagopoula in the Achaia region. The site offers easy shore access to a Mediterranean reef environment with rocky outcrops, seagrass meadows, and sandy bottoms. The sheltered Gulf of Corinth provides calm conditions ideal for training and first ocean experiences. Typical Mediterranean species populate the reef: octopuses, sea bream, wrasse, damselfish, and various crustaceans. The warm waters and generally good visibility make diving comfortable from spring through late autumn. Panagopoula is a convenient dive site for the Patras area diving community.
