Mrtovac is a beginner-friendly dive site in Croatia's Central Adriatic near Murter, featuring a shallow rocky reef around a small islet. The underwater landscape offers a pleasant mix of boulders, sand, and posidonia meadows typical of the Adriatic. Sea cucumbers, starfish, and noble pen shells inhabit the sandy areas, while the rocks host blennies, gobies, and ornate wrasse. Octopuses are regularly spotted, and the calm, clear conditions make Mrtovac an ideal training site and a gentle introduction to the marine wonders of the Kornati region.
