Wall of Wonder is an intermediate dive site in the Lakshadweep Islands, India's remote coral atoll chain in the Arabian Sea, where a dramatic reef wall drops to 30 meters along the outer edge of an atoll. The wall is adorned with enormous gorgonian fans, dense soft coral growth, and colorful sponges that thrive in the current-washed conditions. The Lakshadweep reefs are among India's healthiest, and Wall of Wonder showcases this with pristine hard coral coverage on the wall top and dense fish populations at every depth. Schools of fusiliers, surgeonfish, and trevally patrol the wall face, while grey reef sharks cruise the drop-off zone. Hawksbill and green turtles are common residents, and during the northeast monsoon season, manta rays visit the area's cleaning stations. Access to Lakshadweep requires special permits, adding an exclusive dimension to the experience. Wall of Wonder lives up to its name, offering one of India's most spectacular reef wall dives in a setting of genuine tropical island paradise.
