Tevfik Kaptan is a wreck dive in Puglia waters near Taranto, where a Turkish merchant vessel rests on the seabed creating an atmospheric artificial reef. The ship's structure provides shelter for dense communities of marine life — conger eels coil in the engine room, scorpionfish rest on the decks, and clouds of anthias surround the superstructure. The hull is covered in encrusting sponges and hydroids that have softened the wreck's angular lines over the years. A fascinating dive combining maritime history with rich Mediterranean marine ecology.
