Dhiffushi Kandu

Dhiffushi Kandu is an advanced channel dive in Kolhumadulu Atoll (Thaa Atoll), where one of this remote southern atoll's passages delivers the powerful drift diving and marine encounters that make Maldivian kandu diving a globally celebrated experience. Thaa Atoll receives far fewer divers than the central atolls, and the marine life reflects this lighter pressure with healthier reefs, larger fish, and the natural behavior that characterizes undisturbed ecosystems. The current captures divers on entry, initiating the drift through a channel decorated with the spectacular soft coral growth that nutrient-rich tidal flow generates.
