Danao Wall is a beginner-friendly wall dive on Panglao Island in Bohol, Philippines, where a gentle vertical reef face provides the thrill of wall diving in conditions accessible to newer divers. This site on Panglao's southern coast introduces the dramatic visual experience of diving beside a vertical reef without the extreme depth and current challenges of more advanced wall sites. The wall at Danao features a modest vertical face where the reef drops away from the shallow crest, creating the visual drama of looking down along a coral-covered cliff without the intimidating depths of the region's deeper walls. The wall's surface is adorned with healthy coral growth, sponges, and marine organisms that create a living tapestry of color and texture. The beginner-friendly depth range means that the wall experience is available to divers at the earliest stages of their certification. Marine life along Danao Wall benefits from the habitat diversity that vertical reef structures provide. Fish species use the wall for shelter and feeding, with the varied microhabitats supporting greater species diversity than flat reef surfaces. The wall's coral coverage includes both hard and soft species, and macro subjects inhabit the crevices and overhangs throughout the vertical face. Danao Wall gives beginning divers their first taste of the wall diving experience that more advanced Visayan sites are famous for, providing the visual thrill of vertical reef diving in the safe, manageable conditions of Panglao Island's sheltered southern coast.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
