Rinchão

Rinchão is one of the Berlengas archipelago's deepest dive sites, an advanced location off Peniche where the granite reef descends to thirty-two meters in the wild Atlantic waters of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The biological coverage on the deep granite walls is exceptionally dense, creating an underwater garden of sponges, gorgonians, and encrusting organisms that rivals the chromatic intensity of the shallower sites despite the reduced ambient light.
