Bida Nok is an advanced dive site at the outer of the two Bida islands at the southern tip of the Phi Phi archipelago, where dramatic limestone walls plunge into the Andaman Sea to create one of the most spectacular wall dives in Thailand. With depths reaching twenty-eight meters along the sheer cliff faces and the marine diversity that comes from this exposed open-water position, Bida Nok delivers diving of genuine world-class quality. The limestone walls of Bida Nok are the site's defining feature, dropping vertically from the waterline into deep blue water. These walls are decorated with an extraordinary display of marine growth, from vibrant soft corals and large sea fans to dense communities of sponges and tunicates. The visual impact of the wall's living coat is stunning, and every meter of descent reveals new colors and new organisms that collectively create one of the most photogenic underwater scenes in the Andaman Sea. Shark encounters are a regular highlight at Bida Nok. Leopard sharks rest on the sandy ledges and flats at the base of the walls, while blacktip reef sharks patrol the reef edges. The deep water off the wall face is where larger species may appear, and the combination of wall structure and open blue creates conditions where pelagic encounters are always possible. Fish life along the wall is prolific. Schools of trevally and barracuda sweep past the cliff face, while reef species populate every available niche. The wall's overhangs and small caves shelter concentrations of glassfish that form shimmering curtains, and larger cavities may hold sleeping nurse sharks or resting turtles. The macro life is exceptional, with ghost pipefish, seahorses, and nudibranchs found by dedicated searchers. Bida Nok represents Phi Phi wall diving at its absolute finest. The combination of dramatic limestone topography, extraordinary marine growth, reliable shark encounters, and the clear Andaman Sea water creates a dive that ranks among the best in Thailand.
