Frenk Bay Inner Wall is a beginner-friendly dive site near Fethiye on Turkey's Turquoise Coast, a wall dive within the sheltered confines of Frenk Bay that provides easy access to vertical reef structures without the depth and exposure challenges of open-water walls. The inner wall's protected position creates comfortable conditions for divers developing their wall diving skills. The wall drops from the shallows into the bay's moderate depth, with the rock surface supporting healthy Mediterranean marine growth. Sponges in orange, yellow, and red decorate the wall face, while various algae and encrusting organisms create a colorful tapestry. The wall's vertical orientation means different species assemblages at different depths, and a single dive covers several ecological zones. Fish life along the wall includes the Mediterranean species typical of the Fethiye area. Sea bream, wrasse, and damselfish populate the wall face, while groupers inhabit the overhangs and ledges. The wall's crevices shelter moray eels and octopus, and nudibranchs may be found by careful observers. Frenk Bay Inner Wall is an excellent site for experiencing wall diving in beginner-friendly conditions. The sheltered environment removes the current and depth concerns that make open-water walls challenging, allowing divers to focus on the unique pleasure of swimming along a vertical reef.
