The Monument at George Town is an advanced dive site in northern Tasmania, featuring a dramatic underwater pinnacle rising from 50 meters. This imposing rock formation is one of Tasmania's most impressive deep dives, with walls covered in dense sponge gardens, gorgonian fans, and cold-water corals. The nutrient-rich currents attract schools of trumpeter, wrasse, and jackass morwong, while the deeper sections may reveal broadnose sevengill sharks. Technical diving skills are recommended for the deeper reaches.
