The Towers in the Abacos is a striking dive site where massive coral pillars rise from a sandy seabed like underwater skyscrapers. These natural towers, formed over thousands of years of coral growth, reach from the bottom at 15 meters to within 3 meters of the surface. Each pillar supports a vertical ecosystem — sponges and soft corals cling to the shaded sides while damselfish and chromis swirl around the sunlit tops. Nurse sharks often rest at the base of the towers, and the channels between them create natural swim-throughs for exploring divers.
