Guardian Inland Blue Hole is a remote and mystical cenote-like formation in the heart of Andros Island's pine forest. Accessible only by a jungle trail, this perfectly circular pool drops vertically into the limestone bedrock. The halocline where fresh water meets salt water creates mesmerizing visual distortions. Below 30 meters, the cave system opens into decorated chambers with ancient stalactites and flowstone formations. Expert cave divers have mapped extensive passage systems extending hundreds of meters. Surface conditions are calm but the depth and overhead environment demand the highest level of training.
