Escoumins Crique Ouest (West Cove) on Quebec's north shore of the St. Lawrence Estuary is a premier cold-water diving destination reaching 40 meters. This advanced site in the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park features dramatic underwater walls covered with anemones, soft corals, and sea stars. Strong tidal currents bring rich nutrient flows that attract wolffish, sea urchins, and visiting marine mammals. The site requires careful planning around tide cycles and is considered one of Canada's finest cold-water dive locations.
