The Lodge on St. Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive near a historic waterfront lodge. The rocky underwater terrain features an interesting mix of boulder fields and sandy patches. The boulders are covered with kelp and Irish moss, sheltering lobsters, rock crabs, and a variety of sea stars. The lodge's historical waterfront location means some old maritime artifacts can occasionally be found among the natural reef. Cunner and sculpin are common fish residents. The sheltered bay position and shallow depth ensure comfortable diving conditions for beginners throughout the summer season.
