Peggys Cove in Nova Scotia is an intermediate dive near one of Canada's most iconic lighthouses, where the famous granite coastline continues beneath the waves. The underwater landscape features the same dramatic rounded granite boulders seen above the waterline, creating a unique topography of channels, overhangs, and swim-throughs. Dense kelp forests cling to the rocks in the shallower zones while deeper sections reveal anemone gardens and cold-water sponges. Lobsters are plentiful in the crevices, and grey seals from nearby colonies are curious and regular visitors. Sea conditions must be carefully monitored as the exposed coastline can be dangerous.
