The Fish Shack in Nova Scotia is an intermediate shore dive named for a waterfront fish processing building near the dive entry point. The underwater area in front of the old shack features nutrient-enriched waters that support exceptionally productive marine life. Large concentrations of lobsters and crabs gather near the rocky bottom, attracted by the historically nutrient-rich waters. The rocky terrain with kelp coverage provides diverse habitat from the shallows to moderate depth. Pollock, cunner, and sculpin are abundant fish species. The site offers reliable diving conditions and surprisingly rich marine encounters for an easily accessible shore dive.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
