Pared Sur (South Wall) near Antofagasta is an advanced dive featuring a dramatic underwater cliff face along Chile's northern Pacific coast. The vertical wall drops steeply into the deep, its surface colonized by dense anemone fields, sponges, and cold-water corals. Strong currents along the wall face bring pelagic visitors and large schools of fish, while crevices shelter octopus, moray eels, and lobsters. The exposed conditions and current demand solid advanced diving skills, but the wall's biodiversity and dramatic profile make it a highlight of Antofagasta diving.
