
Morro de Gaira near Santa Marta is a beginner-friendly dive around a prominent rocky headland on Colombia's Caribbean coast. The underwater rocks slope gently into warm Caribbean waters, creating a reef environment rich with hard and soft corals. Tropical fish including angelfish, butterflyfish, and wrasses populate the reef, while moray eels and lobsters shelter in the rocky crevices. The calm conditions and scenic coastal setting make this a favorite introductory dive site for Santa Marta's numerous dive operators.
