Olympia Regattastrecke is an advanced freshwater dive site near Munich in Bavaria, Germany, with a maximum depth of just 5 meters. This artificial rowing course built for the 1972 Munich Olympics offers a unique urban diving experience. Despite the shallow depth, the site is rated advanced due to restricted access requiring special authorization and organized group diving. The long, narrow channel features a flat concrete bottom with accumulated silt and aquatic growth. Carp, tench, and roach inhabit the course, along with crayfish. The historical significance of the Olympic venue adds cultural interest to the dive. Visibility varies but the sheltered, windbreak-lined channel often provides calm conditions. It's a distinctive novelty dive site for Munich-area divers.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
