
Whiskey Reef - Skovshoved Havn is a beginner-friendly dive site near Copenhagen, Denmark, with a maximum depth of 6 meters. Located adjacent to Skovshoved Harbor in the Øresund, this shallow reef features rocks and boulders reportedly from a shipwreck cargo of whiskey barrels, giving the reef its colorful name. The rocky structures are covered with mussels, seaweed, and barnacles, attracting wrasses, gobies, flatfish, and crabs. The shallow depth and typically calm conditions make it perfect for new divers and snorkelers. Visibility depends on Øresund conditions. Whiskey Reef's entertaining backstory and convenient location make it one of the most charming beginner dive sites in the Copenhagen area.
