Knud Rasmussen is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Copenhagen area of Denmark, in the Øresund strait. Named after the famous Danish-Greenlandic explorer, this accessible shore dive offers a pleasant underwater experience in the strait's brackish waters. The seabed features a mix of sand, gravel, and rocks with seaweed and mussel beds providing habitat for flatfish, gobies, wrasses, and crabs. The relatively calm conditions and shallow depth make it suitable for training dives and introductory experiences. Visibility varies with strait conditions but can be surprisingly good. Knud Rasmussen is a popular dive spot for Copenhagen-area divers wanting an easy and convenient sea dive without traveling far from the city.
