Shaab El Kenz is an intermediate offshore reef near El Quseir whose name translates to 'Reef of the Treasure.' The site features a large reef block with walls dropping to 25 meters, decorated with soft corals in shades of purple, red, and orange. The plateau top hosts a pristine hard coral garden with cleaning stations where groupers and Napoleon wrasses queue for attention. Currents around the reef bring schools of jacks and barracuda, and lucky divers may spot dolphins passing in the blue.
