El Bohar Kebir is a beginner-friendly reef in the Hamata area of Egypt's southern Red Sea. The large reef system features a shallow plateau covered in diverse hard corals, providing shelter for a rich community of tropical fish. The protected inner side of the reef offers calm conditions suitable for all levels. Green turtles are commonly seen resting on the reef ledges, and the sandy areas host garden eels and sand-dwelling gobies. The reef's remote southern location means fewer divers and more pristine conditions.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
